Acceptable Use Policy

GospelNote exists to help ministers and churches/ministries honour each other across distance. This Policy lists what we expect of you when you use the platform, and what we will do if those expectations are violated.

Last updated: May 1, 2026

1. Be who you say you are

  • Use your real legal name and a real email address. A preferred name is fine; an alias is not.
  • If you are creating an account on behalf of a church/ministry, only do so if you have authority to bind that organisation.
  • Do not impersonate another minister, church/ministry, or person.
  • Do not misrepresent your titles, ordination, education, or ministry experience.

2. Treat the other party with dignity

Speakers and inviters meet on this platform across denominational, cultural, and geographic differences. We will not host harassment, hateful conduct, or threats.

  • No discriminatory language or conduct on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
  • No threats, intimidation, or persistent unwanted contact (including outside the platform after a counterparty has asked you to stop).
  • No public shaming of a church/ministry or minister using GospelNote channels — disagreements should be resolved privately or, where serious, reported to us.
  • No content that would put a child at risk; no sexually explicit material; no graphic violence.

3. Don’t spam, scrape, or scheme

  • Do not use the booking form on a minister’s public page to send messages that are not genuine engagement requests.
  • Do not scrape, copy, or programmatically download minister or church/ministry profiles in bulk.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent the first-engagement-free credit, evade a suspension, or otherwise abuse the pricing model.
  • Do not attempt to overload the service, probe it for vulnerabilities (except via responsible disclosure to security@gospelnote.com), or otherwise interfere with availability.

4. Use it for ministry

GospelNote is for ministry speaking engagements. If you wish to use it for unrelated commercial bookings (corporate keynotes, secular conferences, etc.) please contact us first; we may decline accounts whose use is materially outside our intended scope.

5. No fraud

  • No fraudulent payment activity (stolen cards, friendly fraud, chargeback abuse).
  • No false credentials, fabricated organisations, or fake referrals.
  • No phishing, social engineering, or attempts to deceive other users into transferring honorarium money outside an agreement.

6. Respect intellectual property

Don’t upload photos, content, or other material you do not have rights to. If you believe content on GospelNote infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to support@gospelnote.com with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512.

7. Don’t break the law

Don’t use GospelNote to do anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours. Don’t use it for activities sanctioned by US OFAC.

8. Reporting violations

If someone is violating this Policy — harassing you, scraping the platform, defrauding you on honorarium, or anything else — please tell us at support@gospelnote.com. Include screenshots, message thread IDs, and any other evidence you have. We respond to all reports.

9. What happens when this Policy is violated

Depending on the severity, we may:

  • Send a warning and ask for the conduct to stop;
  • Restrict specific features (e.g. suspend booking ability);
  • Temporarily suspend the account;
  • Permanently terminate the account;
  • Refund or void recent transactions, in our discretion;
  • Report serious matters (child safety, threats, fraud) to law enforcement.

We do not promise prior notice for severe violations. Where we terminate an account for cause, no refund is owed for unused subscription time.

10. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action against your account was a mistake, email support@gospelnote.com with your account email and a brief description of the situation. We will review every appeal and respond within thirty (30) days.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced to registered users by email at least fourteen (14) days before the change takes effect.
